Why would we train only the weaker eye? This golfer has his dominant eye fully occluded while the weaker eye is strobing or flashing. When you take away visual info from the brain the brain searches for info elsewhere. The brain gets info from the muscles and nerves (proprioceptive system) and the inner ear (vestibular system). These 2 systems are how we learn balance any boy control. When an athlete has better body awareness he can make adjustments from swing to swing to correct mistakes. It’s amazing how much the brain has to focus. That means it captures relevant info needed to make a putt and ignore irrelevant info (sounds, emotions, mechanics, swing thoughts, self-doubt, etc.). This junior golfer rolled 2 putts of 55ft within 4 and 6 inches. No more 3 putts! When the brain is more efficient (clear the mind, except for relevant info) it can put the body in a position of success more consistently.
